RUTA Cabanelles and Lladó
The detour to these two villages, leaves the road to the sanctuary few meters after the Vilą Guesthouse. In 1 km, there is the very small centre of CABANELLES. However, the civil constructions of the Main Square are interesting. These are rich constructions of large stone blocks, almost as walls. The Main street ends in the church, very restored. From Cabanelles to Lladó, there is little more than 1 km, and it can be appreciated the magnificent quality of the cultivated fields. When you arrive to LLADO, it is better to leave the car in the entry of the village and follow any descendent street to get to the Main Square. The square space is quite filled with the lateral of the outstanding CHURCH OF HOLY MARY. In front of the facade of the church, you can get in alleys and corners of a thoroughly medieval air. The restauration of the ancient MONASTERY OF ST. PETER surprises the visitor. Following the same road that surrounds the village, you'll arrive where remains of the walls that bounded the medieval enclosure can still be appreciated. From this point, the road continue toward different houses and hermitages in a walk that can be very pleasant for those who like the countryside. We wish to emphasize that the restaurant CAN KIKO is in the Main Square.
